Welders (Pinconning)
First Shift, Full Time, M-F 6:00am Start Time
Wage: $16-$17 per hour
-Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
-Determine appropriate welding technique
-Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces. Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds
-Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
-Layout, drill and tap holes in welding components and equipment frames
-Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals
-Weld assemblies air and watertight. Must examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
-Detailed oriented
-Repair and or modify assembly's equipment and components on the manufacturing floor
-Maintain consumables and departmental inventories Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing
-Experience with overhead cranes
Requirements:
- Three to five years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of the position.
-Able to carbon and stainless steel weld. Will be testing out on MIG Carbon and Stainless Steel, TIG Stainless Steel and Cast Iron. Will need to see his abilities in finish grinding, Plasma and Oxy/Acetelyne cutting and Blueprint reading.
