Science Resource Center Manager (Midland)
Job Duties:
- Fill/deliver/inventory/maintain district science kits utilizing management system (Follett)
- Order supplies to maintain kits, seek cost efficiencies in kit fulfillment
- Establish annual schedules for kit delivery
- Respond to and assist teachers with needs related to kits
- Organize & inventory the Science Resource Center and improve building usability
- Continuously strive to streamline Science Resource Center procedures to enhance fiscal and operational efficiencies
- Work with curriculum specialists and coordinators to provide customized supplies/science kits upon request
- Direct the work of the SRC paraprofessional support staff
- Be available for "situational/urgent" help (primarily during seasonal ‘egg to chick’ units)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
- Knowledge/experience/coursework in STEM/Science subjects preferred
- Excellent technology skills – specifically experience in all Google Applications with an emphasis in Google Sheets skills
- Highly organized
- Accuracy and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and dependable in an independent work environment
Flexible Work Schedule: 15-29 hours per week, up to 240 days per year
o The employee may customize their schedule between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with approval from the supervisor. The schedule is expected to be 5 days per week and generally the same from week to week (with exceptions for required tasks). The employee must be able to complete all components of the job within the work schedule (i.e. must be able to assist in making kit deliveries/pick-ups during appropriate times of the day/week and must be able to respond to work emails within a business day).
- Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Pre-placement physical with back assessment required
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 29 per week
