General Laborer (Bay City)
Job Description & Requirements:
MUST be able to read a tape measure rapidly and accurately. An understanding of fractions of inches (e.g. is 5/16ths greater or less than 3/8ths?) is a necessity.
-Assistant Press Operator – Assists Press Operator by handing and sorting veneer, loading and unloading of press, inspection and staking of molded product, mixing of adhesive, assisting with cleaning of equipment at end of shift, etc.
-Trimming – Assisting in loading, unloading, and operation of both automated and manual trimming machines, moving boards to and from work site, moving of scrap when necessary, etc.
-Loading of trucks – Assisting in loading process which involves moving die-boards into trailers with hand carts.
-General tasks such as maintenance of work area, moving of materials about the plant, etc.
-All employees are cross-trained in all appropriate plant operations, and must be willing to flex into whatever role is required on any given day.
-All employees are expected to follow plant safety rules and procedures at all times. Failure to do so can result in immediate dismissal.
Must be at least 18, be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm. $15.00 an hour, 46-48 hours per week with paid overtime.
*If employees are offered from client the opportunity to move from ITH payroll to Direct hire employee of the Client/company’s payroll, a 401(k) plan is offered after 90 days, One week paid vacation and paid holidays are included, and employee life/disability insurance is offered for $5 - $10/week depending on age.
