Foundry Technician (Saginaw)
JOB DUTIES
Cleaning room (using bandsaw, pedestal belt grinders, hand held grinders, abrasive cut off, shot blast machine & tools), driving fork truck and bobcat, molding, core making, assisting molders, pouring, shake out, building maintenance, and various foundry functions.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 65# repetitively, mechanical aptitude, enjoy physical type work, must have reliable means to get to work, show long term interest in employment. **Previous foundry experience is not necessary; on the job training in company procedures is provided.
Shop area is a typical shop/sand foundry environment, which tends to be dirty, have elevated noise levels and temperatures fluctuate in accordance with weather.
Most positions require a strong physical effort with repeated lifting of up to 65# and a full range of movement. Work is usually varied, with employees learning the complete scope of the foundry operation.
Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, occasional weekends.
Salary: From $14.50 per hour
