Direct Care Provider (Midland)
Training will be provided by facility
* PERSONAL CARE: Bathing, grooming, shaving, brushing teeth, nail care, toileting assistance, and dressing/undressing are areas that a resident may need employee assistance with.
* MEALS: Preparation, serving, meal clean up and washing of all dishes, pots and pans.
* CLEANING: Oversee the making of beds and cleaning of rooms. Assist residents with cleaning and organizing of closets and dresser drawers. Floors are to be kept clean in all areas of home. Employee is responsible for ensuring laundry is completed as needed for each resident and should not start loads that cannot be finished during employee’s shift unless necessary. Assist resident in keeping personal possessions in proper places.
* ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION: Sorting and assisting residents in taking their medications as / when prescribed by physician.
* WEIGHT RECORDS: Residents are to be weighed monthly and each individual’s weight is to be recorded on the Resident Weight Record.
* INTERACTION WITH RESIDENTS: As time is available the employee is expected to interact with the residents in conversation, games, puzzles, and various activities.
Facility Care: The employee is to constantly monitor the overall cleanliness of the facility, with special attention being given to the KITCHEN and BATHROOM areas. If employee notices repair or any parts/supplies necessary to the function of the home, employee should immediately notify Provider.
* BATHROOM: Clean sinks, mirrors, showers and/or tubs, toilets, urinals, and floors.
* KITCHEN: Stoves, counters, appliances, sinks, and floors are to be kept clean.
* FLOORS: The dining area should be cleaned and vacuumed after every meal. Bedrooms should be vacuumed at least once per week; additionally as needed. Hallways should be vacuumed daily.
