Certified Nursing Assistant (Bay City)
Pay ranges start at $20.00 - 1st and 2nd shifts availability
Providing direct supportive services necessary for maintaining appropriate living conditions and general well being of elderly, handicapped and disabled persons. Provide continuous and primary resident contact. Supervision is direct, received from the Registered Nurse Supervisor and Licensed Practical Nurse on specific task assignment.
-Must have current COVID-19 vaccine requirements
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Valid C.N.A. license in the State of Michigan
-Knowledge and ability to operate equipment related to resident care in a safe manner
-Position requires lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, standing and walking for long periods of time, bending, twisting, stooping and sitting on a regular basis

- Receive residents status report and task assignments from supervisor
- Gather medical support data: taking and recording temperatures, respiration, pulse, blood pressure and bodily function
- Regularly summarize work activity accomplished and will provide status information for caregivers on subsequent shifts
- Use equipment to regularly: thermometer, blood pressure equipment, walkers, wheelchairs, bedding, oxygen cylinders, catheter, bedpans, and hydraulic lift
- Care for Personal Hygiene processes for residents and assist in bathing, combing hair, shaving, brushing teeth, cleaning dentures, dressing and responding to miscellaneous requests. Participates in care of terminally ill and expired residents.
- Aids residents in accomplishing body functions, giving enemas, placing bedpans, and colostomy needs. Transporting residents to commodes upon request. Will chart body function data
- Transfers residents using lift or manual lifting from chair to bed, in and out of bath. Apply spinal devices/prosthesis, splints, and preventative skin breakdown equipment in Resident Care Plan
- Personal comfort Services: repositioning, giving back rubs, assisting with exercise, walking, and encouraging self help progress and assists residents with activities on and off unit
- Respond promptly to call lights provide for residents needs replacing linens, cleaning residents, observing for distress, abnormality or symptoms; reporting concerns to RN
- Use safe practices to keep areas clean and in order; cleaning spills, straightening service areas, storing equipment and removing debris to appropriate storage area
- Prepare residents for meals; serve and removes food and dishes and assists with meals or feed residents, if necessary. Distribute drinking water and other nourishments to residents and record intake when appropriate
- Ensure residents privacy and dignity
- Attend resident care conferences
- Performs other duties as assigned
