WHO WE ARE

History of the Agency

In 1973 ITH Staffing originated as Girl Friday. In the beginning, Girl Friday supplied female office personnel to business and industry. Times and needs changed! Girl Friday did not adequately describe the scope of work our temps were performing. The variety of work available expanded; both men and women were being used. So, in 1978 the name was changed to Immediate Temporary Help.

Temporary help was growing as an industry; and in our effort to keep current with change, we affiliated with a national franchise group, Employers Overload, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From 1983 until 1988 we were part of the oldest temporary group in the United States. But in 1988 Employers Overload sold to Uniforce Temporaries based in New York. ITH Staffing made a decision to return to the status of independent with that transition. The decision to go independent was based on data gathered from our customers. The customer's need for a quality temporary service played a large role in this decision.

In 2002 Sharon Miller acquired several other temporary staffing companies and brought them all together under the ITH Staffing umbrella. We can now provide service in Michigan, Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania as we continue to move forward.

  • Concern – Your needs are special and so are we. We work hard to save you time, trouble, paperwork, and money. We incorporate your needs into our operation.
  • Counseling – Our temporary employees are vital to the success of our business. Our professional counselors interview and counsel thoroughly to assure you of exceptional employees.
  • Screening – All applicants are tested in job related areas, interviewed, reference checked, and background checked before going on assignment. Drug testing is also performed at no charge to our clients.
  • Recruiting – Recruiting top-notch employees is continual. Our on-going program is of special benefit to you.
  • Payroll – We pay all taxes, insurance, unemployment claims and fringe benefits.
  • Workers’ Compensation – All employees will be covered under workers’ compensation as mandated by law. All persons injured will have appropriate care and follow-up provided.
  • Guarantee – Your continuing satisfaction means our continuing business. If our employee is unsatisfactory, notify us immediately; and there will be no charge for the first four hours of work.

Our President

Sharon Miller

In 1973, a mother of two young children needed flexibility in her life. Without fear or question, the right move seemed to be the temporary help industry. Through the years, ownership of an employment agency, a home nursing agency, a secretarial support and call center, two restaurants, and small business consulting have followed. Change and challenge has been the key to her success.

Community and industry involvement have been a vital part of the growth. Current involvements include:
